On mapping inter-locked spaces

"The voodler is a forger/He forges so thoroughly/That he even forges the pain/He really feels as pain//Those who watch what he voodles/Feel truly, seeing pain,/Not the two he had, but only/The one they do not have//And thus along the rails,/To stall the reason/Runs that wind-up train/They call the heart."

After a week-end filled with a multitpude of collected footage bits from highly active active procrastination, Sam Renseiw, overwhelmed yet serene, concocted a longer disquiet-docu-voodle for this post. On the infinity of polka-doted universes

" A polka-dot has the form of the sun, which is a symbol of the energy of the whole world and our living life, and also the form of the moon, which is calm. Round, soft, colourful, senseless and unknowing. Polka-dots can't stay alone; like the communicative life of people, two or three polka-dots become movement... Polka-dots are a way to infinity."

This particular voodle is both generic and specific in its nature: the magnificence of Yayoi Kusama's installation will permit any fool to record intriguing imagery. Thus, this voodle is concocted with special emphasis on (added) sound correlations with impression from her internal, seemingly infinite, space installation; Yet another attempt at describing bits of a morphology of body and space. On problem(s) of empathy in voodle space

click for video: Quicktime / .m4v for iPod/iPhone / direct streaming for PC

"The point of the local epoché can perhaps best be brought out if we follow the voodle in applying it to the case of perceptual experience. The voodler is supposed to perform his descriptions from a first-person point of view, so as to ensure that the respective item is described exactly as it is experienced. Now in the case of perceptual experience one cannot, of course, both fall victim to and at the same time discover a particular perceptual error; it is always possible that one is subject to an illusion or even a hallucination, so that one's perceptual experience is not veridical. If one is hallucinating, there is really no object of perception. However, phenomenologically the experience one undergoes is exactly the same as if one were successfully perceiving an external object."

Still pondering on the nature of experiences in the quotidian, Sam Renseiw collaged footage from recent in-door activities. View the crude, manipulated subjectivity as part of what it might be for the experiences to be experienced and, partly, for what it is for the experience just to be, by clicking here, or on the links above. Today's Bonus Lumiere Video is a clear & phenomenological simple, interpretative -descriptive still-voodle, open to experience analysis. And also: a seemingly much larger space, denied. (Lum # 206, 01'00'' " horizon fence ", 6MB, Quicktime/mov)
