MacGuffin and 3 Hitch-hikes, illuminated

"Every sign we receive is an index, Hitchcock tells us, but of what, we can rarely ever know. An index is a sign that is directly produced by a material effect, like a smoke signal. Only the index is always different from what it indexes. It tells us that something has happened, but only by being different from its cause. The index, in other words, need have no resemblance. It is not a representation."

Just returned from a short field-trip, Sam Renseiw posts a framed interior illumination from the middle of the week, complete with spoken word abductions by good old Hitch, a MacGuffin and self-inserted Cameo appearance. I had to get an explanation on this one from someone else, but I really loved it all the same.

'...the film can be about anything you like...' I love Hitch.

And I love your little film.

it just voodle(s)...

sometime i have no idea whatsoever on what the "meaning" might be about.
visually, it was just great to see the reflections on the wall, as this happens only for about 15 minutes, early morning in winter, on my wall.

regarding "explanations" :
always see the links in the text (the bold words). i try to contextualize and put some perspective on the voodle afterwards.

it's a fun, challenging and knowledgable game of serendipity to play, that i certainly enjoy...
i give myself about max. 15 minutes to google some "stuff" up after wondering what the "content" might be, in the video... then some meaning come along, sometimes absurd, sometimes quite a propos, to some topic i have been wondering about.
it thus suplements the diary condition of the work in a fine way.
