The detournement of space: Voodle # 01

"Lefebvre points out that the single point perspective and visualisation are ideological constructs which define the perception of space and of bodies within it; and it is through these spatial relationships that subjectivities, or notions about individual actions and discourses and the individual’s understanding of his/her own experience, are constructed or socially agreed/imposed upon. Voodles and architecture can organise space following a logic of perspectival visualisation but they can also disrupt this logic by creating ‘in–between’ spaces ."

Exploring the nature of ‘in-between’, hybrid space(s) with pataphysical detournements, Sam Renseiw gathered footage to voodle for the next 3 posts. View the first one, from an abandoned church overhanging a cliff, by clicking here or on the links above. thanks philip.
oddly enough, the interminable waiting lullaby seems also to concern the fly-tip pile removal in front of our porch. it still is there...
maybe steven has a point:
it might just be junk, after all.

(might voodle around it next week if the pile still is there, and digitalise it into something visual, now that beaming does not work)

well, the composition of the pile is not as subtle anymore. more stuff accumulated, including a used toilet.
( of course it is not a signed R.Mutt, thus falling outside modernist dogmas :-)

i thus wondered: would a sign, saying "ART, please enjoy" make any semantic difference?

the janitor promised a container this week.

re.: meaning for comment readers: conversation is about fly-piles. see patalab post "fly-pile and voodle povera", from oct.31th.

Ah yes fly tips are best when you get the first installation and you can see the uncoscious arrangement of the objects. Once other people start adding the whole thing can become very messy and poorly focussed. Curious how people feel legitimised once they see one piece of work to add to it.....
