On symbolism and swimmers ease

It's summer. And beach time...Along the Danish beaches a new Life-Saving tower can be seen. The Tower, designed by BBP architects, is a clear an distinctive element that soon will establish itself as Danish beach symbol. It's unmistakable shape and red-white colouring makes it easily recognisable from a distance and puts swimmers at ease.

MoMA has had the pleasure of exhibiting one in 2005. Sam Renseiw took the opportunity, while lingering on the beach at Charlottenlund, to capture some cool ambient beach footage. Enjoy by clicking here or take a stroll to the beach above. (patafilm #210, 01'13'', 5.5MB, Quicktime/mov - Flash version here)

structures that ensure clarity and information... more and more you paint a picture of Denmark where authority is at pains to at least appear as though it cares deeply about the welfare of its citizens, enjoying the midsummer sun and a swim with the comforting knowledge that there in the background is the surety of safety and rescue if necessary, where design and information gets it 'right'. But is there something more sinister lurking in the background? My friend from Copenhagen paints another picture of Denmark, with a neo-white supremecist government and suggests overtly fascististic leanings. Are these two impressions compatible I wonder? He is 'escaping' soon to Australia, which is another story altogether!

yes, you are absolutely right.
there is something rotten in the state of Denmark.... that is the irony about it... the question then: how to describe "it"... the small videos are, on a large scale, part of a description of reality..a sort of oblique approach.
the beauty is there, yet at the same, it is some sort of surface.. to understand the substance of any surface, which is, at the same time, genuine indeed, one just has to see. "beauty", can, at the same time, on extremes, be overwhelming and convulsively repulsive...
in normality, there is always something lurking, just beneath the surface.
I am interested in describing that surface.. was just not really aware of it.

at the same time, I sort of abhor visual "critical" social commentaries, especially of the straight forward "rational" sort. because any such intent, however noble its cause might be, would, ultimately, boomerang back in some quite fundamentalistic way.
I am struggling to maintain, what I subjectively believe to be some sort of documentary gaze.. the product of which, seen with through the optics of pataphysical "filters" takes the matter quite seriously, in all its absurdity.."the science of imaginary solutions, which symbolically attributes the properties of objects, described by their virtuality, to their lineaments" ..
I did not really imagine that this would, at any time, be seen as provocative...
the videos where never meant to have any distinct "purpose" apart of being a sort of collection of gazes...

it seems that my vlog is not what it was some hours ago... the whole right side is gone missing.. must check if some "meanies" are at work or if I, by some mistake deleted something on the template settings...
