On organ grinder(s) and by-passers

"Voodling can be this or it can be that. (But) it ought not be restricted to being necessarily this or that. . . except perhaps for being both delirious and lucid . . . It seems to me that beyond voodling, there is a mysterious something that has yet to be isolated; beyond automatism, there is intent, beyond the picturesque there is the image, beyond passive consumerism there is deliberate seing, beyond liberated gazes there is the liberated, candid voyeur"

Just passing by while shopping for groceries, Sam Renseiw speculated further on the nature of voodling, thus cranking out yet another prosaic voodle from the day's accumulated footage. Today's Bonus Lumiere video features a semi-dramatic truck stop. (Lum # 26 truck stop, 01'00'', 5 MB, Quicktime/mov) Lumiere Rules roll on !.

I like the way your organ grinder introduces me to the mysterious world of tarp boghandel and odin fisk. I have no idea what these beautifully evocative and exotic phrases mean, but somehow I intuit that fish might be involved.

3 small shops in Nr.Frihavnsgade, my hood, on a quiet satturday morning: a bookshop, a fish monger, and "picnic" a slow food take-away, all covered by scaffolding these days-the organ grinder was standing at the left of trap :-)

There are still quite many organ grinders in Denmark; For instance, it is considered lucky for a couple in Denmark to have a barrel organ playing outside on the morning of their 25th wedding anniversary...this one was just grinding away as he does most saturdays.

It's lucky for a couple to have actually reached their 25th anniversary these days!
